This project is intended to echo the loss of geomorphic features inthe historical site of the university campus. Sun Yat-sun planned thecampus in the suburb, among the ridges and peaks.

It is the typical topography of South China, whose most obvious features are hills and lakes lying in the valleys. However, such characteristics have been gradually transformed in the process of rapid urbanization from 1980s. In terms of etymology, 'plot' is connected with 'plat' and 'flat', referring to the tradition of leveling the ground for construction. The history of urbanization in South China is the ongoing elimination of the wilderness as well as the becoming ofthe metropolis.

A lot of retired and previous faculties live in the campus of theuniversity and send their kids to the kindergaten. The elderly oftentalk of the past when the nature is enfolding the campus. Kidsnowadays have little chance to experience the wild or go to thewoods. The earthbound memories may be a chance to provide a coliving environment for the two age groups, and nature could be aprotagonist to cross the generation gap.
